Kidderminster Harriers new assistant manager Gary Whild says he is relishing the challenge of proving himself at a higher level.Whild left Blue Square North club Redditch United to become Steve Burr's number two at Aggborough.
"There are different expectations at a higher level but that was what was attractive to me," he told BBC Hereford and Worcester.
"It is nice to be challenged and I am looking forward to it."
Whild defied critics by keeping Redditch United in Blue Square North during his four-and-a-half years in charge but he feels the challenges at Kidderminster will be very different.
"I thoroughly enjoyed my time there although it was a massive challenge as you had your back to the wall for most of the time," he said.
"I took a lot of pride from the fact that we achieved against all the odds by staying in the division while to find some lads who have gone on to full-time football was great.
"But thanks to the people who were there it was a successful time."
Speaking about Burr, Whild added: "I have always had a good relationship with him and he was somebody who always took time to speak to me and compliment me on what I was doing at Redditch.
"So I wouldn't say so much that it was a surprise when he approached me.
"I am happy and it is a compliment to be asked to be involved with what is a good club."
