Kidderminster Harriers midfielder Chris McPhee says he has been asked to play up front by manager Steve Burr. The 27-year-old fort Torquay player told BBC Hereford & Worcester that the role holds no fears for him.
"It will be a new role for me for Harriers fans but I used to be a striker many moons ago," he said.
"I am more than confident that the team can supply the chances and I am confident of sticking the ball in the net as well."
McPhee joined the Aggborough club from Weymouth in February 2009 and soon became a firm favourite with the Harriers supporters.
While used predominantly as a midfield player, McPhee has also operated as a centre back when needed and is confident he can quickly adapt to this latest role.
As you start you want to get into the real stuff that gets your blood pumping and your adrenalin flowing

He says pre-season has gone well and is now looking forward to getting into the real action when the Blue Square Bet Premier season starts at York City on Saturday.
"Right at the start it is hard work after a bit of a break and for me personally there has been an addition to the family so there have been a few sleepless nights," he said.
"But it has been tough work but that's what you need to get back into football.
"I have managed to pop up with a couple of goals so it is building confidence and the team has gone from strength to strength through pre-season.
"We're looking good and I am really pleased with how it has gone."
McPhee is one of only a handful of last season's squad that remains as manager Burr has rung the changes during the summer.
But he is confident the new-look Harriers have what it takes to compete effectively in the Blue Square Bet Premier this season.
While he is well aware an away trip to a York City side that finished in the play-off places last season is likely to be a difficult opener, McPhee says he cannot wait.
"As soon as you play your first pre-season friendly and you get those minutes under your belt you just can't wait for the season to start," he said.
"Football is an exciting sport to be involved in an you want to be involved in and as soon as you start you want to get into the real stuff that gets your blood pumping and your adrenalin flowing.
"The lads are very excited about the weekend and the job that lies ahead."
